About Us
Meet Our board of management
DSRC is led by a group of visionary members who are determined to impact transformational programs in communities.
1. Dr. Omondi Benard, CEO and Secretary to the Board of Management.
Dr. Omondi Benard is a public health pharmacist with trainings from University of Nairobi (Bpharm 2009), Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies, UK (Diploma in Supply Chain Management 2013) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc. Epidemiology 2021). Benard has experience spanning over 10 years in the Kenyan public health systems having worked as a Sub County Supply Chain Pharmacist, acting County Pharmacist, and as a Sub County Medical Officer of health.
2. Mr. Bob Evans Ochieng, Chairman of the Board of Management.
Mr. Evans is an educationist currently working at Rongo University in Kenya as a lecturer. He studied Business Administration at Maseno University (Bachelor’s degree 2005) and a Masters degree in Supply Chain Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
3. Mr. Victor Osongo Brown, Treasurer.
Mr. Victor is also a public health practitioner with vast experience in the Kenyan public health system having worked as a pharmaceutical technologist for over 12 years. He is currently pursuing a degree in Pharmacy at Kenyatta University.
4. Mr. Francis Aila, Member
Mr. Aila is a trained nutritionist currently pursuing his PHD. He also has vast experience in public health matters in Kenya touching on commodity management, HIV/AIDS, health systems strengthening, governance and leadership. He is the County Nutritionist for Homabay County in Kenya.
5. Mr. Moses Odhiambo Onyango, Member
Mr. Onyango is a businessman in Migori County in Kenya. He has held various leadership roles in the Seventh Day Adventist Church and is involved in initiatives to empower the less fortunate in the society.
Dsrc Secretariat (Management Team)
The CEO is the head of secretariat and he leads a lean management team consisting of an Administrator, Accountant, ICT Officer and Office Assistant.
Achievements
- Construction of a research centre at Ogande village.
- Provision of tree seedlings to youth groups in Muhoroni, Kisumu County
- Promotion of nappier grass growing especially Boma Rhodes in Homabay County
- Provision of Bursaries to vulnerable students in Homabay County.
- Civic education on environmental conservation in Kisumu County
- Inspiring and promoting youth and women leadership
